NOTICE: FOR U.S. CUSTOMERS
For online orders placed via www.henkerman.com.au or www.henkerman.com and delivered to residential or business addresses within the United States, all applicable U.S. import duties, taxes and tariffs are included within the shipping fee shown at checkout.
No additional import charges will be requested from you upon delivery for these online retail orders. This arrangement applies to standard online purchases only and does not automatically apply to custom-made, wholesale, contract, trade or offline invoiced orders.
1. GENERAL AUSTRALIAN SHIPPING INFORMATION
Once your stock is available we will organise delivery of your order to be sent to your designated delivery address via our preferred parcel post or courier service. Any relevant shipping fees will be quoted at the point of checkout. We will notify you once your items are on their way and will provide a tracking number and tracking URL when available.
We aim to get parcels to you within the shortest possible timeframe using standard shipping services. Within Australia, please allow 7-21 Day delivery for most in-stock orders. For international deliveries, please allow 14-30 Day delivery for most in-stock orders. If you require your delivery more urgently, please select the Express delivery option at the checkout and email us to advise.
Within Australia, single box orders (approx. <$500AUD) may be delivered via courier with 'Authority to Leave' or as 'Signature on Delivery' unless specifically requested by you. Multi-box orders (approx. >$500AUD) will normally be delivered by courier with 'Signature on Delivery' unless otherwise requested by you. Orders to a Post Office Box address will be delivered via the postal service. International orders will be delivered via International Courier with 'Signature on Delivery' or via the Postal Service.
Engraved orders will generally take 4 to 7 days longer to arrive. We aim to get your engraved delivery to you ASAP however please allow up to 14 days for dispatch of in-stock engraved hanger orders. Our engraving service is normally not available between mid-December and mid-January. Please contact us should you have any queries about this.
Free Shipping services are currently available for orders over the listed Free Shipping threshold amount within Australia. Orders under the listed FREE Shipping threshold will carry a fee depending on the size and weight of your order. All parcels are sent via regular courier or post unless an Express option is selected during checkout.

2. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING TIME-FRAMES
Delivery turnaround times on international items vary depending on location and whether a postal or courier service is used. We aim to get your delivery to you ASAP however please allow up to 14-30 days to reach the destination country. Engraved orders will generally take between 4 to 7 days longer to arrive. If you require faster delivery times, please select and Express Delivery option at the checkout.
Larger volume or higher value purchases may get held by Customs Authorities for routine inspections upon importation (to countries outside Australia). This can sometimes elongate delivery timeframes.
All International parcels are normally sent via regular Air Freight for a Discounted Shipping Fee depending on the size and weight of your order. We will notify you once your items are on their way and will provide a tracking number or parcel ID where available.
Please be sure to double check your delivery address. Shipping times can be longer on large orders due to customs clearance requirements of the destination country. All overseas orders are subject to customs clearance requirements and additional fees and charges may be payable by the recipient. These fees can arise from Import Duty, Sales Taxes, Tariffs and Customs Handling - calculated following the importation of goods - see below.
Limitation of Liability for Delivery Delays
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Henkerman is not liable for indirect, consequential, or business-related losses arising from delivery delays, including delays caused by customs clearance.
3. INTERNATIONAL IMPORT DUTIES & TAXES - GENERAL
Whilst many hanger shipments require no International Customs Duty to be paid, some international orders to certain countries may be subject to additional Customs Clearance fees payable by you following the arrival of goods.
Customs Clearance Authorities may require customers to pay Import Duty, Sales Tax (eg. VAT/GST), Tariffs and/or Customs Handling Fees prior to release of goods.
Note: International customers outside of Australia and the United States are not charged Sales Tax, Import Duty, Tariffs or Customs Handling Fees at the point of online payment. These charges (if applicable) are calculated by customs authorities and charged directly to the recipient upon importation.
Each country has different limits for when Tax and Duty apply and whether Customs Clearance handling fees are charged. Wooden clothes hangers in many countries do not attract customs duty — whilst in other countries they do.
3A. FOR SHIPMENTS TO DESTINATIONS OUTSIDE AUSTRALIA AND USA:
Customs Duty payable is often $0.00 for small and medium sized Henkerman hanger orders sent to various countries outside of Australia and the USA.
To calculate the Import Duty estimate yourself, please see this duty calculator. Please use HS Code: 4421100000 for 'Wooden Clothes Hangers'. Enter the Product Value and Shipping cost displayed in the checkout on your order. Use $0 for Insurance Cost.
To be sure, we are happy to calculate the estimated duty payable on your behalf. Simply email us a) what you wish to purchase; and b) the delivery address to: enquire@henkerman.com.au. We can send you back a duty estimate prior to you completing your order.
Tip for Business Orders: If you do pay Import Duty, these additional Fees (if paid) may be tax deductable by you if your clothes hangers can be claimed for business purposes.
3B. FOR SHIPMENTS TO USA:
From 29 August 2025, changes to U.S. customs regulations removed the previous de minimis exemption for goods under USD $800. As a result, import duties, taxes and a 10% tariff now apply to Australian goods entering the United States.
For online retail orders placed directly through our website and delivered to U.S. addresses, these charges are incorporated into the shipping fee shown at checkout and are handled on your behalf.
No additional import charges will be requested from you upon delivery for these online retail orders. For custom-made, commercial, wholesale or offline invoiced orders (including hotel or trade contracts), import duties and taxes may be treated separately unless otherwise agreed in writing.
